Nathan is one month old, on Uncle Stephen's birthday. Both Uncle Stephen's were born on the 26th of the month, Steve on Aug 26th and Stephen on Sep 26th.

Grandma visits

Grandma came to meet Nathan. We went apple picking with Daddy and Grandma.

We picked Honey Crisp apples, our favorite.

The next day we went to the zoo with Daddy and Grandma. We got to ride the train.

We had a great time!

Ty and I love feeding the sheep.

And they have a great playground at the zoo too.

We got lots of presents for baby Nathan. Our favorite thing about getting presents is the box. Fun times!

Tyler goes to school two mornings a week. He loves it and has never cried. Here he is on his first day with his new backpack.

Nathan's Coming Home

Nathan was jaundice so he had to go under the lights for two days. We didn't get to visit with him too much. We missed him. Here he is with his little sun glasses on.

I worked on some art for Nathan and Mommy to hang at the hospital. I borrowed some glasses so I could really see what I was doing.

Mommy was showing us Nathan's toes and legs.

The hospital had some free movies to watch. We tried to watch a movie while we visited with Mommy.

I have a new baby brother! Nathan Stephen was born Friday, August 26th. He was born on Uncle Steve Villanueva's birthday.
Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital at 7:30 am, we spent the day with our friends Jack and Will.

It's a boy! Mommy and Daddy were so excited! He was born at 11:02 am.

Nathan was 8 lbs. 11 oz, 21 inches. Daddy was so proud!

Nana flew in that morning and made it to the hospital when Nathan was born.

Tara came to visit Nathan the next day.

Tyler and I went to meet Nathan at the hospital.

We brought Mommy some gifts.

We were so excited to see Mommy and meet Baby Nathan.

Mommy loved her gifts and cards that we made her.

Baby Nathan is so sweet.

We got to feed him a bottle with Daddy's help.

I was very interested in Mommy's IV. I wanted to know all about it. Ty and I got to watch a little TV at the hospital.

Turtle Back Zoo

A few weeks ago we went to the Turtle Back Zoo. Mommy was trying to walk a lot to get the baby moving along. The first thing we did was ride the train, my favorite.

It rained while we were there but that didn't stop us. We just rested inside and then went back out. It was hot.

Chuck E Cheese

When I heard that Papa was coming to visit, all I wanted to do was go to Chuck E Cheese. We were lucky to take him there. He helped us play with all the games. Can't wait to go back.

Papa came to visit us before he had to start school. We were so lucky to spend so much time with him. Thanks for coming Papa. We miss you!

Sesame Place

In the beginning of August we went to Sesame Place. We had such a great time!

Here's Ty with Mommy and then with Daddy on the steps of Sesame Street.

We rode lots of rides and then got into the water. We don't have any pictures of us in the water since it took Mommy and Daddy to be in the water with us.

We met Abby and Elmo! Tyler and I were so excited to see them.

After swimming Tyler fell asleep on the baby in Mommy's belly. It was a nice pillow.

My favorite ride was the teacups. We got to ride it twice.

4th of July

For the 4th of July weekend we visited Daddy's friend Richard at his lakehouse. It was raining but we took a short boat ride. I got to drive the boat and pull Richard's son, Kai, on a tube. I hope to go back soon.

We stopped for ice cream. I threw a toy at Tyler and it cut his forehead.

Daddy ran a 5K the morning of the 4th of July. It was so hot and humid. I was so proud of him for finishing.

There was a big festival downtown so we slide down the big slides. I always went backwards and feet first. Daddy had to go up with Tyler.

There was a drum area so Tyler and I played a lot. My friend Dylan was there too.

There was an area that we could paint, so that was a lot of fun too. Then we went for ice cream, of course.

Mommy went into her office for a day. Tyler wore her shoes and didn't want her to go. Here's the baby in her belly at 35 weeks.

Tyler loves the baby and gives it lots of kisses.

We had our friends over at the lakehouse one weekend in July. They have a one year old, Oliver. I think we spent over an hour in the lake. It was so hot out.

Tyler loves to jump into the lake.

After we went swimming, Tyler was watching Dora and eating and apple and just fell asleep at the table. Poor Ty Ty.

Ty Ty has been a funny guy. He insisted on wearing his sunglasses to bed one night.

Tyler got out the headlight and wanted to check on the baby. He was trying to look at it through Mommy's belly button.

Daddy ran the JP Morgan Chase corporate challenge 5K so we decided to ride the train into the city to watch the race. Here's Ty and I enjoying the train ride.

I was so excited to see Daddy's office and sit at his desk. I met some of his friends too.

There were so many people in the race, we had to wait a long time for Daddy.

We finally saw him go by.

Tyler loves sunglasses. When he finds a pair, he wears them all day.

It was warm enough to get in the lake. We loved it.

In May we surprised Grandpa for his 80th birthday and spent the week in the Outer Banks, NC. We had a house on the beach with a pool and spa. We had an amazing week.

Our house is behind us, we almost had the entire beach to ourselves. It was wonderful.

We went to the Wright Brothers museum.

Another day we took a tour to see wild horses on the beach. We rode on an open-air truck to see the horses.

They are beautiful horses and we got so close.

Matthew's 4th Birthday

For my 4th birthday party, we had a train themed party at a toy store. All my friends had a great time playing with trains, decorating our own train and watching a Thomas show.

They also had model trains in the store so we got to play with them too.

I loved being the engineer.

We got to have pizza and watermelon and then birthday cake.

I got too many presents. Here I am opening my present from Nana and Papa, they watched me open it on Skype.

My new love is spiderman. I was so happy to get him. I also got a small spiderman so Tyler could play too.

I got a lego helicopter and Daddy helped me put it together. I love legos.

I helped Mom make my 4 year old cake.

I loved all my presents.

I love my police costume. Tyler wasn't sure when I gave him his first ticket. He was a little confused. I'm sure it won't be the last ticket he gets. :)

Mother's Day

For Tyler and my birthdays the Florence's got us a year pass to the zoo. We took Mom on Mother's day and loved it. Here we are looking at the leopard and feeding the sheep.

There are peakcocks walking all over the zoo. Tyler and Daddy got pretty close to one. We rode the train too.

We went in these holes to see the prairie dogs.

One beautiful weekend we went hiking in Pennsylvania to a waterfall.

Happy Easter

We spent Easter at the lakehouse. We dyed some eggs.

And then decorated them.

The Easter bunny came to our house and brought us lots of toys.

After church we drove back to Maplewood to go to Dylan and Daniel's Easter egg hunt. We had all boys there and it was so fun.

I've started playing soccer. Coach Nathan is my coach.

Dylan and Daniel came over for a play date and we played Elefun.

We also watched a little tv while Mommy and Holly made us dinner.

Skiing with the Dunsmore's

We are so luckly to have the Dunsmore's move to NJ this winter. We love having them so close to us. The last skiing weekend of the year they came to the lakehouse. Friday night we arrived at the lakehouse and unexpectedly had no heat. Daddy started a fire in the wood burning stove and we all dressed with as much clothes and went to bed. It was cosy but we survived and woke up early to go skiing. It was a perfect weekend because the ski resort was empty. It was Will's first time skiing and Jack's first time on a snow board. They picked it up with no problem. I really enjoyed following Will down the hill. You can see us in the picture below. I'm in green and Ms. Tara and Will are in red.

Tyler and Mommy stayed at the top of the mountain.

Will and I had to take a few snack breaks. We can't wait till next winter.

Tyler turned 2. He was very excited!

He also got a basketball hoop for his birthday.

We already started fighting over the basketball.

Winter Break

I had a week long winter break so we went to the Florence's for a few days. They showed us how to play Rock Band.

They helped me learn how to play the guitar and drums.

Tyler loved the microphone.

Tyler tried to play with the biggest nerf gun the Florence boys had. He managed to pick it up but he couldn't shoot it.

Ty and I got right into the nerf gun wars.

Carson dressed us up as an Ohio Buckeye. Daddy was not very happy when he saw these pictures.

Daddy's Birthday

Mommy is really behind on pictures but here's Daddy's birthday in February.

We got Daddy a Wii for his birthday and he got some new shoes. Tyler loved trying them out.

Tyler and I love playing the Wii.

Tyler and I gave Daddy the Hungry Hungry Hippo game for his birthday. We love playing with him.

This winter was difficult at the lakehouse. One weekend the entire driveway was covered in ice. It was so hard to get up and down. Our groceries just slid down the driveway, it was really funny. Luckily no one broke a bone that weekend.

Liberty State Science Center

In March we went to the Liberty State Science Center. We had fun playing with rice.

Last days of Spring Break

Our last day in Florida we went to Little 500 again. So much fun!

Tyler got to hold Kinleigh again, he didn't mind her crying. He really wanted to help.

Thanks to Uncle Stephen again we got to go to SeaWorld too. We loved Shamu.

We got to feed the sting rays but I was too scared to touch them.

I'm still too short to ride the rides by myself.

Laurie rode a ride with me. I was a little scared during it.

Tyler did the ropes again and this time he enjoyed it.

We found another spray ground. Here's Logan shooting me with water right in the face. It was so fun.

Tyler and Ryder really enjoyed talking to each other in their strollers. I was a little scared at some of the shows but Nana helped me. Thanks Nana.

Universal Studios

Thanks to Uncle Stephen we all went to Universal Studios. Papa and Mommy took Ryder, Tyler and I later in the morning, here we are in the parking lot getting ready to go for the day. We spent a lot of the day in Seuss Landing.

We did the merry-go-round and watched a Dr. Seuss show.

I got to meet the Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2.

I also got to meet Sam I Am. Tyler got to hug Sam I Am.

Spring Break

For Spring Break we went to Florida to meet our new cousin Kinleigh. Daddy had to stay home to work so we rode the airplane with Mommy. We were so excited.

We really enjoyed flying JetBlue and listening to music and watching TV.

There were oranges still on the tree so we got to pick them and make orange juice.

One day we went to visit Great Nana Jane. Carson really wants to learn how to play the violin so Nana Jane gave him her's. It's very old so we had to be very careful with it.

Sunny Days

We had a few good days of sunshine so we went to the park to play soccer. We had so much fun.

We used the soccer net Nana and Papa gave us. Thanks!

I started swim lessons on Wednesdays. Here I am with my class.

I love the water. They let us jump in too.

We are such big boys now we can get our hair cuts at the same time.

A few weeks ago the fire station at the lakehouse had an open house. Daddy took us down and the firemen let us get in the fire trucks and try on their hats. We loved it.

We had some more sunny weather so Daddy, Mommy and I sat on the porch and read our books while Tyler took a nap.

Winter Fun

Mom has been a little busy this winter and is just now helping me update the blog. This winter we took a gym class together. We loved running around.

Daddy is helping Ty with the balance beam.

I had a Christmas party at my school and Mom and Dad came. Here I am with some friends.

Here's some of my artwork up in the halls at school. The principle loved the art work I'm standing next to that she now has it framed in her office. When Mommy came to pick me up at school for speech the other day she knew that Tyler was my brother because we look alike. She took Mommy and Tyler into her office to show her my great art work. Here's the snowman I put together too.

Here is my best friend at school, Madine. We ride the same bus and she really helps me at school.

Here's Ty and I with our favorite babysitter, Melissa. She got us these train conductor hats and whistles for Christmas.

When Papa and Nana came for Christmas we took Tyler to get his first haircut.

Kinleigh Joy Smith

Nana and Papa finally have a granddaughter! Kinleigh Joy Smith was born March 29th. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. Tyler and I keep asking Mom to show us pictures of her. She is so adorable.

Aunt Tamara is recovering well. We can't wait to meet her in a few weeks.

Before Ryder got to meet his big sister, he had to say a little prayer.

He was now ready to hold Kinleigh. Ryder is going to be a great big brother.

Here are some more pictures of the snow storm we had after Christmas.

We went to the lakehouse for New Years. We tried to make a gingerbread house.

When is started to fall apart I was not happy at all. We finally gave up on the house.

For our New Years party we made hats and played a little poker.

Dinner was so much fun.

The lake was frozen so we were able to walk on it.

More Christmas

Santa came to our house for Christmas. Ty and I first opened our stockings.

Then we got to go downstairs and see that Santa ate some of the cookies and milk we left for him. He left a lot of toys, plus a train!

We loved opening presents together.

Daddy gave us the game 'Don't Break the Ice', we love it.

Christmas with Smith Family

Nana and Papa came to spend Christmas with us. The Florence's were going to drive up the day after Christmas to visit for a week. They surprised us and drove up Christmas day. We were so thankful since we got a blizzard the next day. We decided to head into NYC besides the blizzard warnings. Here we are in Times Square.

The snow started coming down pretty fast but we continued to walk through the city. Reid, Carson and Ron got to ice skate at Rockerfeller Center.

We took the subway back to Penn station to go back home.

When we got off the train we steped into 2 feet of snow. The Florence's van got stuck at the end of our street. Tom and Ron had to work at getting them up the road. The picture below is of Papa wiping off the car at the train station and then Daddy coming in after getting the cars in the driveway.

This was our driveway when we woke up the next morning.

Today we had a full day. We started at the model train show and ended with seeing Santa and a few of his reindeer. Tyler wasn't too excited about Santa but I made sure to tell Santa what Tyler wanted for Christmas.

I had a little one on one time with Santa first. I was checking in on him through the window while I was in line.

Hopefully Santa will bring me a train because I'm a really good boy.

Last night we went to the mall and I didn't want to get too close to Santa. We watched him from the second story.

They had pajama story time at the library one night. Tyler and I went with our friends Dylan and Daniel. They had a guitar player there and we had a great time. Tyler was right up there in the front with Dylan. I stayed in the back with Daniel.

Grandma and Grandpa came to spend Thanksgiving with us. Grandma made cookies with me again. Tyler and I really enjoyed them.

On Thanksgiving I helped Grandma make the chocolate pie. Tyler played us a little guitar.

Ty and I like to pretend we are playing in a band.

During the Thanksgiving weekend, Tyler got nursemaid's elbow. That's when the elbow comes out of the socket. We spend most of the day in the urgent care but they couldn't pop it back into place. We had to wait 2 days until we could see our pediatrician who was able to pop it back in. Tyler was a good sport. Here's Ty in the urgent care.

Ty still played was able to play, just couldn't move his right arm.

I like to wear these Mr. Potato Head glasses. Maybe I should ask Santa for some glasses. These don't really fit.

Happy Halloween

We went to the Halloween parade downtown and saw our friends. I was a train conductor and Tyler was a dragon. Here's Gavin looking in to see if Tyler's in that dragon head.

Tyler loved Daniel's Elmo costume and Daniel loved Ty's costume. It was so cute watching them look at each other.

Daddy met us and we walked his bike home.

We went to a pumpkin carving party/birthday party.

The girls were really impressed with Daddy's carving.

They had a roller coaster there. I loved going down with my hands up.

Our neighbors had a party before trick-or-treating. Then all the kids went trick-or-treating together. Tyler and I loved it!

Day's later I went through all my candy and organized it.

Halloween Parties

We had a Halloween party for our playgroup. We made cookies and had everyone decorate them. Here's Ty and I trying the cookies. There was two Mickey Mouses' and two Spidermans.

Tyler ate this blue yogurt and got it everywhere.

My school had a Halloween party for us. Tyler and Mommy got to come to the party.

I tried to get Ty to go into the tunnel. It was fun having Ty at school.

The next day was that Halloween Parade at school. Mommy made these orange jack-o-lanters for my class. Everyone loved them.

Tyler wanted to sit at the table with me and my friends and have a snack.

The Fall

Mommy was washing dishes and came out to the living room to see why we were so quite. We were just sitting under the blanket eating Ritz crackers.

We went to a Pumpkin Festival near Laurie and Ron's house. We had so much fun with the Florence boys.

Woodstock festival

A few weekends ago, we went to the original site of Woodstock for a festival. We had yummy pickles.

We went in a hay maze. Ty and I loved walked through it.

I love being outside!

We watched a dance team and I tried to help Tyler dance.

Tyler really enjoyed the band.

I thought it was a little loud and made Mom hold my ears. Then I took a little nap.

This is the day I had picture day at school. I hope they turned out good.

This is the first day I wore my new shoes, which used to be Carson's. I love them almost as much as Carson did.

Last weekend when we were at dinner, I did the twist for everyone. Mommy loves my face.

Weekend at the lakehouse

Mom, we are ready for church!

Ty was having a little pumpkin cupcake while I was taking a nap.

He's also watching football.

Daddy dropped the paint bucket at 10pm and it splashed directly in Mommy's face. She could not have been at a better location. It got in her mouth and eyes. Pretty funny.

Last weekend we had a cat visit the lakehouse. It was around us all day Saturday. It was so sweet but it was cold outside. Daddy made a little house for it to spend the night. He slept there almost all night. We had to leave on Sunday and didn't see it the next weekend. Hope it found its way home.

We loved that cat for the day we spent with it. Here's Ty and I watching him eat.

Michigan Visit

We went to Michigan in September to visit Grandma and Grandpa and go to a football game. Tyler loved the plane and drinking juice. I was so excited to be in Michigan and go to the football game, when I got off the plane, I asked if we were going to the football game. Then when we got in the car, I asked again. I was so excited about football.

The weather was perfect the first day we were there. We went to the playground and I fell backwards off the playground. I hit my eye really good. See the bump?

We just left for the football game and Tyler stayed home with Grandma. I missed Ty so much that I had to watch some video of him on Mommy's phone.

We went to the game with Daddy's cousin, Jim and his daughter Jenna. They have season tickets and were so nice to give us some tickets.

We were lucky that Grandpa came to game with us.

I ate an entire box of popcorn by myself. Popped Maize.

Michigan won and it was a great game. I was so exhausted I was asleep before we left the parking garage.

Grandma has this chicken that we got to play with. It sings the chicken dance, so fun!

We went to an apple farm with Scarlett. I enjoyed feeding the goats. Tyler was a little shy.

I washed my hands every time I got near the animals.

We had a lot of fun with our cousin Scarlett.

Mommy went into the bounce house with us. There weren't a lot of people there so we had the bounce house to ourselves.

Virginia trip

In September we drove down to see the Florence's in Virginia. We had a great weekend.

We look forward to many more trips down there to see them.

I take a bus to school now and I LOVE it!! I really like waiting for the bus because I can play outside with Mom until it comes.

It's nice because sometimes Ty is awake when I leave and sometimes he gets to sleep in.

First Day of School

I started Pre-K at Jefferson Elementary September 7th. My teacher is Ms. Janice and the helper is Ms. Mary. I only have two other kids in my class right now so I get a lot of attention. I'm there from 8 - 10:20. I love it!

Tyler is loving the time alone with Mommy.

We went to Hoboken one afternoon to meet Daddy. The playgrounds there are the best.

A little girl let us borrow her stroller. Ty and I fought over it a lot.

Mommy was making dinner and Tyler and I were so quiet. Mommy turned the corner and we were just hanging out on the stairs behind the gate, then we took off.

Tyler loves to put food on his head. I'm in the background using the broom to clean up after him.

Tyler is the best little brother. I love him.

End of Summer Days

Before school started we went to the beach and the zoo. We went to the beach with my friends, 7 boys total!

There was a hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean when we went to the beach so the waves were crazy. We couldn't stand in the water because the waves were too strong.

Daniel and Dylan rode in the van with us. We had a great car ride too.

One day we went to the zoo with our playgroup. I wanted to ride the pony but when I got close I got scared. It was my first time feeding sheep though. I was brave.

I was also really brave to hold a bird on a stick.

Tyler loved the merry-go-round.

Tyler didn't mind the birds at all.

Block Party

In August we had a block party. The Fire truck came and Tyler and our friend Bram got in. I was too scared. Here I am with my friend Reese. We were both scared of the pinata, so we just watched.

We enjoyed playing in the street and trying the scooter.

I think our favorite time was when they dumped the ice out. All the kids loved walking on it and throwing it.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

The Florence boys and Laurie came to visit us in August. We went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on a very hot day. Here's Carson and Ty waiting for the ferry. Laurie and the twins looking out at Ellis Island.

NJ County Fair

The fair was in town and we stopped on the way home from the lakehouse a few weekends ago. There was a place we could make our own playing cards. Ty took his picture there.

We saw cows and horses.

I got to ride a tractor and pick some fake apples.

Ty rode the fake horse and I milked a fake cow. :)

I also did some grocery shopping. Ty and I loved it.

We saw all the ducks and birds. Ty wanted to touch all of them.

There were also model trains. I loved that part.

It started raining so I got to use my Thomas umbrella.

Ocean City August 2010

This summer we had our family reunion in Ocean City, NJ. We had great weather and went to the beach every day. Tyler and I loved the sand and the waves. The best thing was spending it with our cousins. Here's the whole crowd and all the boys flocking around the food.

We liked to dig holes. Here we are digging and playing in the hole.

The sand didn't bother Tyler at all. He would fall right into the sand and keep going. Here's our cousin Abby, she is a few months younger than Ty.

Reid and Mom had some time together and went on the ferris wheel.

One morning we had breakfast on the boardwalk.

Florence's are Home

The Florence's moved back to the states this summer. We saw them for the first time in two years in Ocean City. Here's Nana and I waiting for them on the sidewalk.
